simple things photo challenge

Sunday, April 3, 2011

This is one of those photos that I just can’t resist.  Logan decided all his own that he wanted to make a mask out of three pieces of paper he’d cut.  Trung cut him some eye holes, and I cut him some string.  Then he wore it for like an hour straight. :)

Sure, the eyes aren’t as in focus as I’d like them to be.  The composition of the photo is slightly off.  But boy, this makes me smile anyway.  His creativity, his half smile, his cocked chin.  Too cute.

I’m linking up to the Simple Things Photo Challenge again this week!

  1. Hi Heather, I'm visiting from the BFS class. I love your photo - it made me smile! This shot has great personality.

  2. I think you're too hard on yourself. The focus on the eyes is good and the composition is too. The first thing I notice is the face he's making under the mask that tightens up his neck and helps make that half smile. I love that this shot shows Logan's character behind the mask.

  3. Such a boy thing to do. I love it! This picture is perfect because it tells a great story!

  4. HI Heather, What a great picture, he's so cute! Thanks for stopping by... I'm marking you as a fave. :)

  5. I love a child's creativity, and capturing it in a photograph is the best way to preserve the memory. Well done!

  6. Love this...reminds me of "where the wild things are"
