simple things photo challenge: 2

I had a tough time choosing between two photos this week, so I’m going to cheat and use them both. :)  Both of them are selected more for the meaning behind them than for the images anyone can see.  Neither are the most beautiful photos I’ve taken, but both represent so much to me.

The first photo is of Trung and Logan changing the knobs in our master bathroom cabinets.  I’ve hated those knobs since we moved in.  One broke off a few months ago and it’s been annoying to me ever since that my cabinets don’t work properly.  It was a happy day when Trung finally got to it on his to-do list.  The coolest part though was watching him let Logan help him.  He was so patient with him through the entire process and Logan was thrilled to help him!  What a great daddy and husband.  You may notice the edge of the photo is beveled - that's because this was a photo of the mirror behind them since I couldn't get far enough back inside the bathroom!  I decided not to crop that out since it reinforced the memory!

This next photo is of Logan sleeping.  Very sweet, yes, but the reason I took the photo is to show what he’s sleeping with.  I finally finished his quilt!!!  He loves it.  It’s full of flaws, but once I washed it, those flaws virtually disappear in the soft little crinkle of the fabrics, so I’m very happy with it.  The photo is so dark even at nap because Logan has taken to sleeping in a play tent on top of his bed.  Not a lot of light inside a tent so even my new lens can’t compensate!  Then tent seems to give him more security.
