December 13 – Action When it comes to aspirations, it’s not about ideas. It’s about making ideas happen. What’s your next step? (Author: Scott Belsky)

I always get to a point at the end of the year where clutter drives me crazy.  Maybe it's decorating for Christmas.  Maybe it's that I stage all our gifts in various rooms until I'm ready to wrap.  Maybe it's just the end of the year.

This year, it seems like my anxiety related to paper and clutter has escalated.  It physically causes me stress (and makes me grumpy) to have a bunch of mail on our counter or a room full of toys scattered throughout.

My next step (which will have to wait until after Christmas due to the amount of time I have available) is to revisit my organization system and paper flow.  How things come in our house and how they go out.  I have some things that work and many that don't.

First step is new shredder.  We have a bunch of old papers to shred (a pile about a foot deep) and our shredder is just not high powered enough to deal with it in a timely fashion.

I have been thinking of taking an online workshop from Simplify 101 as well.  There are a couple basics in January that look helpful!
