crafty wreaths

My girlfriend has recently gotten me wreath obsessed.  We have double front doors on our house, and they sure look cute with two wreaths on them.  Who says wreaths have to be only for Christmas?  Here are a few of my recent favorites.

1. I love how this wreath from the jones design company looks so cozy (tutorial here).  This one screams fall, but a white or gray wool one would look awesome for winter.  And it's made from a thrifted blanket!  Love that!
2.  And if you haven't seen (and fallen in love with) the book page wreath, I'm not sure what rock you are living under!  I've seen a zillion all over the blogworld for it, and every single one has a different spin.  Love this tutorial, also from the jones design company (LOVE that site!!).

3. Although the colors are not really my style, I love everything else about this combination of ornaments and yarn balls into a wreath over at Tatertots and Jello!  You could do any color scheme you wanted - love it!  And the kids can help making the yarn balls. :)

4. Finally, it's not a wreath for your front door, but I absolutely love this wreath by Vanessa Christenson.  Yes, I know I've posted it before.  But it's a perfect scrap buster and it is NO SEW!  I will be sad if I don't get one of these babies made before the end of the year.  Come to think of it, this would be a great addition to my planned seasonally changing display!  One for every season!

So what do you put on your front door for the holiday season?

  1. Ooo! I'm going to have to make one of those first ones!

I just finished a kinda book page wreath. But I haven't taken a dang photo yet. I'll get one tonight and send it to you. I used my mom's cricut to cut scalloped circles for it. The tut I used said it would take about 200 circles. Hah. I think I used about 4 times that.

I'm drooling over this wreath: http://www.williams-sonoma.com/products/silver-bell-wreath/ I saw Michaels has jingle bells on sale this week. I might have to try to recreate it.

  2. Wow! I've seen some jingle bell wreaths before but none that are that full. I love the varying sizes of bells! I can't wait to hear if you had good results!

800 circles? You have far more patience than I do! I can't wait to see the results!
