sewing on sunday - quilting edition

I never thought quilting was for me.  Until I saw the cool modern/graphic ones all over the internet these days!  I've finished piecing one top and am working on my second.  But hoping this is something to continue.  Here's a roundup this weekend of some recent inspiration.

1. It's Quilting Month on Sew Mama Sew!  How adorable is this one?

2. My next step on top 1 will be binding (since I'm sending it out to be quilted).  This tutorial is where I'm going first!

3. Seriously.  This quilt by V and Co. is friggin' adorable!

4. For a ridiculous amount of inspiration, I like to hit up the flickr group Fresh Modern Quilts.  I like the white sashing on this one by LittleHouse 2009.

5. Oh Fransson! has a bunch of tutorials and inspiration as well.  She might be my quilting idol!  She did a quilt along for this beauty.  I think I might like the back even more than the top.

5. These are the ones that get me in trouble.  The ones I look at and say "I could do that so easily" then I buy fabric and get sucked in and never make it.  If I ever get Logan's top done, maybe this will be my next.  It seems doable, and I love the owls!  Another by Elizabeth at Oh Fransson!
